Beate Erwin concentrates her practice on cross-border tax planning and reorganizations of global corporate groups and high net worth individuals’ business structures, with a focus on inbound investment into the U.S. Beate has authored articles on international taxation for a variety of publications in the United States and Europe and has contributed to treatises devoted to that topic. Beate is member of the Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Congress of Fellows of the Center for International Legal Studies (Austria), and the New York City Bar Association (Committee on Taxation of Business Entities).

Prior to joining Ruchelman P.L.L.C., Beate was a member of the international tax team of major international accounting firms in New York, Dallas, and Vienna, Austria. Beate practiced with a Vienna-based international law firm where she advised international clients on matters related to Austrian and European tax law and income tax treaties.
