Practice

Michael Bennett advises clients on the U.S. tax aspects of cross-border matters, such as acquisitions, reorganizations, and business expansion. Based on his experience abroad, he approaches each matter from a multi-faceted perspective, looking at the U.S. dimension and the potential impact in other jurisdictions. In addition, he counsels clients on global developments in the field of tax law.

Prior to joining Ruchelman P.L.L.C., Michael served as the resident U.S. tax lawyer in the Amsterdam office of a large international law firm, where he regularly advised investment funds and multinational companies on business arrangements in Europe, U.S. tax issues, F.A.T.C.A., and C.R.S.

While in the Netherlands, Michael was a participating member of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands, a business organization that facilitates trade and investment between the two nations.
